Kovalam Beach
Kovalam is a beautiful beach town on the west coast of Kerala. It is the most pristine of the beaches in India and is located at a distance of 16 km from Thiruvananthapuram or Trivandrum city.
Kovalam has three crescent-shaped beaches separated by rocky promontories. The larger beach towards the south is the Lighthouse beach and is the most popular of the three. The other two are the Eves (Howah in local parlance) beach and the Samudra beach, towards the north.
Hundreds of tourists come to Kovalam to take a dip in the cool waters or to enoy the catamaran cruise or the sunbath on the white sands of the Arabian paradise or just to relax under the tall coconut palms.
Many hotels, restaurants, lodges and shops are located here. The destination has Ayurvedic health resorts, convention facilities, shopping centers, swimming pools, Yoga and Ayurvedic massage centres and cultural zones.
Undoubtedly this marvellous beach is a tourists’ dream come true.
