Coastal folklore songs - Annavi Pattukal
Annavi pattukal are coastal folklore songs in Dravidian tradition originated in Kerala. The art form was originally known as pichappattu since it was sung by Buddhist monks. Group of singers goes to the nearby houses like a choir singing songs of religious themes. One or two instruments are also used for accompaniment.
