Inside Red Fort
The Red Fort or Lal Qila is a famous citadel built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan. Lal Qila is situated on Delhi town’s northern end on the bank of river Yamuna.
The Red Fort is irregular octagon shaped and its walls are made of red sand stone. It has two entrances, Lahori Gate and Delhi Gate.
The fort is centered round the Diwan-I-Am (hall of Public Audience), Diwan-I-Khas (hall of Private Audience), Rang Mahal (Painted Palace), Moti Masjid, Hammams, and the military barracks.
